Ever-increasing popularity and interest in traditional fireplaces or fireplace sets, whose "heart" is formed by a hot-water fireplace insert or fireplace insert with an exchanger, it was the main idea in the times of raising the range of Vesuvio. The company of HAAS+SOHN Rukov, a leader in the field of fireplace stoves with exchangers on both domestic and foreign markets, took advantage of its long-term lasting know-how which resulted in three power-type variants of the hot-water fireplace insert of Vesuvio. In combination with connection to existing heating system, you can save even several thousands during the heating season and the initial investment will get compensated back in about 3 years.
A very important factor for selection of a heater with exchanger lies in the ratio of heat transferred into hot-water system. In a room where the fireplace or fireplace surrounding are located, the heat consumption is limited by the size of the room. In many cases, it is about the range up to 4 kW of heat-air power of the source (actual consumption depends on the volume of heated space and heat losses). Therefore, the significant portion of heat shall be transmitted to the heating system (directly to radiators or to a storage container). When having the first look at the parameters of all variants, it is obvious that all models perfectly meet this requirement!
· Vesuvio 15 with an exchanger - When having the total output power of 19.6 kW, the amount of 75% of heat (14.7 kW) goes to the water.
· Vesuvio 18 with an exchanger - When having the total output power of 23 kW, the amount of 78% of heat (18 kW) goes to the water.
· Vesuvio 20 with an exchanger - the strongest variant with maximum output power of 25.5 kW transfers the amount of 78% of heat (19.8 kW) to the water.
Not only tertiary combustion saves your money
Primarily through tertiary combustion, you can achieve efficiency which exceeds 80%. Such efficiency guarantees much lower fuel consumption compared to similar products with lower efficiency. In practice, this means a much better use of energy that would be otherwise unnecessarily escaping through chimneys. Everybody can easily calculate the great saves of a lot of money on fuel.
Intake of combustion air is designed by using the central air intake through the throat of external air supply (so-called CPV system). To ensure the most convenient regulation at different tension conditions of your chimney, the CPV throat is equipped with a regulation valve that can regulate the amount of intake air flow which is required for optimum combustion process.
The advantage of connecting to an external air supply is particularly useful in places where any modifications to reduce heat losses were implemented, i.e. replacement of windows, doors, etc... After appropriate connection, you do not have to worry about sufficient amount of combustion air. You will avoid the ventilation and unnecessary letting the heat go out of the windows ("throwing money out")!
Chimney flap (or also known as firing flap)
To increase the convenience of heating and maximally reduce the risk of leakage of exhaust gases from the combustion chamber when feeding the fire, all the hot-water fireplace inserts of Vesuvio series are fitted with a chimney control flap to ensure free passage of smokes through the flue throat. This will eliminate any problem of slow heating and smoking into the room during feeding the fire.
Convenience, design, practicality
Hot-water fireplaces inserts of Vesuvio will attract you with their elegant design with a large glass surface which ensures a pleasant and relaxing view of blazing fire. However, the developers of HAAS+SOHN thought of practical things too. In the top section, you will find a removable lid for easy access to the heat exchanger, through which you can comfortably get inside to clean its upper part. With regular cleaning, you will surely extend the life of the product even by several years and you will also ensure permanently high efficiency for transferring the heat into the water.
Practicality will be also appreciated by those who do not like opening the door from the right side. The change can be done easily in several minutes by using a simple modification with an installation package added to your hot-water fireplace insert as a bonus. Each fireplace insert of Vesuvio is the only product on the menu that offers this option.
Safe operation, environmental protection
The built-in cooling loop, which provides protection in case of power failure and which is located in the exchanger, belongs to standard equipment of each of the variants of hot-water fireplace inserts of Vesuvio.
The complete range meets the standard of EN 13 229, of course. The complete range is also a holder of the "Clean technology" brand. This means that the fireplace inserts can be used even after the introduction of strict emission limits in Europe after the year of 2015. Right now, during operation of the Vesuvio system with heat exchanger, you are protecting the environment and gaining higher comfort of living.
